On the Ukrainian side, Russian Shahed drones pounded the southern port city of Kherson, killing two civilians and wounding several more, according to local military officials. The barrage also ignited fires and damaged buildings in neighboring Zaporizhzhia while air defense alarms rang out across eastern and southern Ukraine.
