Soundous Moufakir has not held back about her abrupt exit from Amazon Prime Video’s reality thriller The Traitors Season 2, directly accusing co-player Shahneel Gill of orchestrating her early elimination out of personal insecurity. The second season of the Karan Johar-fronted show kicked off with swift drama when Shahneel, sister of Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, was secretly inducted as a traitor alongside Krystle D’Souza, Harman Singha, and Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu).
Soon after joining the covert group, Shahneel pushed to target Soundous during the secret nightly "murder" round, abruptly cutting short the model-actor’s run as an innocent player. Reflecting on her departure in a post-eviction interaction, Moufakir made it clear she felt her ouster had little to do with smart gameplay. She argued that there was no strategic reason to send her packing so early, claiming Shahneel simply felt threatened by another strong, outspoken, and entertaining woman sharing the screen.
Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, who was also eliminated early during the initial round-table confrontation, backed Moufakir during the conversation, laughing off the tension and commending her for saying openly what most contestants would hesitate to admit. The opening week of The Traitors Season 2 has moved at a chaotic pace, seeing five contestants eliminated in rapid succession—including Faruqui, Moufakir, veteran actor Dalip Tahil, mentalist Karan Singh Magic, and Harman Singha, who became the first unmasked traitor after entrepreneur Parul Gulati rallied the house against him.
With the innocent players growing increasingly suspicious and social media debating the early betrayals, Moufakir’s blunt assessment of Shahneel has added fresh fuel to the drama unfolding each week on Prime Video.
