Union Health Minister and BJP chief JP Nadda was taken to AIIMS Delhi earlier today after complaining of chest uneasiness and sudden discomfort. Doctors at the hospital moved quickly to assess his condition, running a full battery of cardiac tests and performing a coronary angiography to get a clear picture of his heart health.
Medical staff later confirmed that his parameters look fine and he is holding up well, though he has been shifted to the cardiology ward so the medical team can keep an eye on him for routine post-procedure care.
Word of his hospital visit quickly made the rounds in political circles, with several senior ministers and party colleagues reaching out to check on his health and wish him a speedy recovery.
Attending doctors noted that the procedure went off without any issues and that his vitals continue to stay steady. For now, the medical team plans to keep him under basic observation for a short spell before making a call on when he can head home.
